Schedule: Monday - Friday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay: $23.12/hr.

Vangst is currently supporting the hiring efforts for a leading multi-state cannabis operator seeking a Production Technician to join their manufacturing team in Oakland, CA. Position Overview

The Production Technician will play a key role in supporting vape cartridge production operations, with a primary focus on operating and maintaining the Thompson Duke vape cart filling machine and related production equipment. This is a hands-on manufacturing role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Production Support
• Operate and support the Thompson Duke vape cartridge filling machine and associated production equipment.
• Assist with machine setup, calibration, cleaning, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
• Monitor machine performance and identify operational issues as they arise.
• Maintain efficient production flow to help meet daily output goals.

Quality Control

• Inspect vape cartridges and finished products to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company quality standards.
• Identify and report product defects or machine inconsistencies.

Compliance & Documentation

• Follow all company SOPs, safety standards, and state cannabis regulations.
• Accurately complete production logs and related documentation.

Inventory & Materials Handling

• Assist with staging production materials, hardware, and packaging components.
• Maintain organized inventory and clean production workspaces.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Communicate effectively regarding workflow, machine performance, and production updates.

Safety & Sanitation

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Adhere to all sanitation and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, or machine operation preferred.
• Experience with Thompson Duke equipment or vape cartridge filling machinery is highly preferred, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Comfortable following strict compliance and regulatory procedures.
• Basic computer and documentation skills preferred.
