Maintenance Worker IISan Francisco, CA$27.77/hour | Full-Time | Non-ExemptAbout the RoleDelivering Innovation in Supportive Housing (DISH) is seeking a Maintenance Worker II to provide preventative, corrective, emergency, cosmetic, and routine maintenance services for our residential properties in San Francisco.This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills who takes pride in quality work, safety, and customer service.Maintenance staff may be assigned to:Tenant unit turnovers (Turnover Team)Work orders and general building maintenanceDeployment may vary depending on organizational needs.This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to either the Facility Manager or Unit Turn Supervisor.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, corrective, emergency, cosmetic, and routine maintenanceComplete painting, carpentry, wall repair, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairsRespond to work orders in tenant units and common areas in a timely mannerMaintain building common areas including entryways and sidewalksComplete repairs during unit turnover process (if assigned)Follow emergency procedures and building safety policiesProvide on-call maintenance support as assignedMaintain inventory of tools and suppliesFollow all job safety policies and best practicesAdhere to pest control policies and report issues immediatelyKeep work phone available during business hoursQualificationsMinimum 2 years of skilled maintenance experience (professional training may substitute)Experience in one or more building trades requiredAbility to read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagramsKnowledge of boiler systems and operationAbility to use maintenance and system testing equipmentBasic math and documentation skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasksStrong teamwork and communication skillsSpanish skills a plusPhysical RequirementsFrequently lift and carry 50–100 lbsPush/pull objects over 100 lbsUse power tools and maintenance machineryStand, walk, squat, and work in tight spacesTravel between sites using public transportationWork EnvironmentWork takes place in supportive housing settings serving formerly homeless individuals, many with mental health, physical health, and/or substance use challenges.Buildings are approximately 100 years old with varying levels of renovation. Work occurs in tenant units, common areas, and exterior spaces.
